Executive Roles

 

The CGL Executive Roles – Positions are for girls ages 14 to 16

President
The President presides at all meetings; performs other duties as requested by the counselors; upon completion of her term (1- or 2-years TBD), becomes past-president

President-Elect
Assumes the duties of the President in her absence; Is a Mary's Leader (see below) 

Past-President
Assumes the duties of the President in her absence if there is no President-Elect available

Secretary
Keeps a record of all meetings and activities (Minutes are filled out in a prepared form based on the agenda); Responsible for correspondence; Send all notices, including membership information; perform other duties as requested by the president

Treasurer
Collect and record all money from any source and give it to the designated counselor (works with the St. Edward CWL Treasurer); Perform other duties as requested by the President


Mary's Leaders - Positions are for girls ages 12 to 16
Shall prepare and consult with their committees in relevant areas

Mary's Leader for Faith
Works with her committee on Spiritual activities, such as but not limited to:

    • Reciting living rosary, especially for the months of May and October
    • Performing religious plays and skits
    • Days of recollection or retreats
    • Note that all of these activities are chosen by the girls

Mary's Helper for Friendship
Works with her committee on activities involving service and social action, such as but not limited to:

    • Activities that show how members are a friend to all
    • Promote being friends with all of God's creation
    • Supporting service organizations and charities
    • Note that all of these activities are chosen by the girls

 Mary's Helper for Fun
Works with her committee on social activities, such as but not limited to:

    • sports/movie nights
    • Holiday parties (Hallowe'en, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)
    • Crafts
    • Family activities and social for parishioners
    • Note that all of these activities are chosen by the girls

Mary's Helper for Formation
Works with her committee on activities related to membership and training, such as but not limited to:

    • helping with open house programs for prospective members
    • mentoring others as able
    • making posters for advertising
    • Note that all of these activities are chosen by the girls
