O Saint Josephine Bakhita,
you were sold into slavery as a child
and endured unimaginable suffering.
Yet you found freedom in Christ
and filled your life with forgiveness and love.
Help those who are trapped in fear,
violence, and human trafficking today.
Intercede for them,
that they may know safety, dignity, and hope.
Teach us to forgive as you forgave
and to trust God in every trial.
St. Josephine Bakhita, pray for us.
Amen.

Make Me a Channel of Your Peace
“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
when there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”

Memorare
Remember, O most Gracious Virgin Mary,
That never was it known
That anyone who fled to thy protection,
Implored thy help,
Or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
To thee do I come, before thee I stand
Sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
Despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen
